There is a new project due by marketing "gurus" Saj P. and Alex Goad. They are well known for their recent bestsellers "Affiliate Payload" and "4 Tier Annihilation Method", so there is a lot of buzz going on at the moment.
In The Site Rush they are going to reveal all the ins and outs of the most lucrative kind of business you can have online: Website Flipping. This is basically the buying and selling of websites. The authors call it "virtual real estate".
But what are the money making possibilities with website flipping? We will have a closer look at it in this article.
Take a look around on the internet. Or even better, don't. Just think about what you know the internet for. A lot of websites are so poorly made, they can make a grown man cry. There might be some good idea behind them, but whoever made them didnt succeed to make it work.
Then we have a lot of pretty good, nice little websites that look and feel good, but they are not making any money (or very little). Someone "forgot" to turn a good website into a money making machine.
And last but not least: There are a loads of websites that are made pretty well, and have some good money making possibilities, but they don't get a lot of visitors because the search engines don't find them. In other words, their search engine optimization is not good.
There is an obvious point I still have to make, because all of us tend to forget about it: The internet has just started! Nothing is cast in stone yet.
Most online markets are pretty much wide open for you, me or anyone else to enter and eventually take over with a solid website and service. It's a matter of finding that site that lacks in one of the three topics I listed above: It's poorly made, poorly monetized or the SEO is not good. If you can buy that website and improve it, you might strike gold!
Can anyone do this? Well I really doubt it to be honest. At the moment I don't fancy my chances if I tried my hand at it.
