What You Need To Know To Provide The Best Customer Service

By Craig Calvin

A lot of organizations are satisfied with the level of customer service they provide. But, if you asked their clients how they were doing, you would be surprised to hear their views. Most customers say the employees are rude and the customer service is porr at best. If you knew some tips that others don't, imagine how you would stand out in comparison to your competition. The following five things are what customers look for most.

1. Integrate personal touches. During the business transaction, personal conversation is bound to occur. Displaying interest in this talk and following up on previous conversations will make the customer feel valued. It can be as small as asking how they are feeling after being sick, or about some event they mentioned with their children. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but it will pay off in the long run with your customer.

2. Provide customized service. This means trying to figure out what your customers need, and then providing it. Maybe they dislike having to come to your office to read proofs. Can you email the documents to them so they can fit the task in at their convenience? Little touches like this will keep customers coming back.

3. Take complaints seriously. Do not act defensive or like they are insignificant. Listen to what hte customer says and improve where needed. If a customer does not feel satisfied with the reaction, they will tell others how they feel.

4. Being honest. Revealing negatives as well as positives regarding your products will gain you trust. If you display dishonest qualities, your customer will not return. By building honesty into your values as a company, you are securing a place above your competition.

5. Involve your employees. Explain to your employees how you expect them to treat all people who they come in contact with. Providing prizes for the best customer service is a good idea. No matter who your customer talks to, they should be treated the same way everytime. - 15478
