Know What You Know.

By Mr WebbyFied

Know what you know, but, more importantly, know what you don't know.

Knowing what you know can make you excel, and become great, at whatever you want to do. The other side to this equation is knowing what you don't know, and this can give you the extra tools you need to create that slight "edge" that will get you even better results, and make you much more effective as a person and an online business owner.

But, I bet your wondering, "what is knowing what you know, and knowing what it is that you don't know?"

They are precisely that.

When you know where your strengths lay, and what your talents are, you have tasks that you can do personally, and can do effectively. You know what you are best suited for, and you also know what you can do on your own instead of having to pay someone else.

That takes us over to knowing what it is that you do not know.

When you learn about ways to accomplish your goal, through first hand experience or through reading, for example, there are always a few things you have to do that you realize you aren't so good at.

This is knowing what you don't know.

These various tasks are ones that will keep you from progressing. Admitting that they aren't your strengths will make you a lot more effective in the long run, and much more happy.

If you know what you aren't good at, and it isn't something you must do yourself, get someone else to do it! You'd be better off spending your time focusing on your strengths instead of worrying about figuring out how to make something you don't know much about work!

This can be a hard thing to do for some entrepreneurs, especially online entrepreneurs.

We usually get so stuck in doing everything on our own that soon enough we don't have an ounce of energy for our business.

We take care of that which we know, we try to perfect that which we don't know, and pretty soon, the business is the second most important thing because we haven't quite mastered graphic design!

Trying to know everything is crazy, and, even if you are good at it, there is probably someone you can pay that can do it better than you and for less cost (the time you spend doing these things can be put to better use).

Of course, when you're just starting off, you probably won't have the money to hire all of the people you need, but you should still be aware of your strengths and abuse the heck out of them. Know what your weak points are and learn what it is you HAVE to learn.

Make some money then pay someone else to do it.

That will mean the difference between you spending your weekend in Acapulco, or spending your weekend loathing the computer screen.
