Brian McElroy reveals his big secret in Dan Kennedy's information marketing course. Brian made $500,000 in 18 months starting from scratch. The best part is that he lives on the beach in Rio de Janeiro and loves his lifestyle.
Brian doesn't think he is genius. "You have to hook up with people who are highly successful and start working with them", he said.
Rob Toth interviewed Brian in conjunction with the Info Riches course as Dan Kennedy's partner. Rob interviewed several highly successful information marketers as part of a course called "Future Of Information Marketing". Each interview provided some great insights into what it takes be successful. I have summarized some of the articles but you can get the whole course for yourself for FREE for a limited time.
In his interview with Brian, Rob found out the key secret to making it big in a short period of time. Brian said that he, like many others had been purchasing courses upon courses but never really doing anything with them. Wannabe Internet marketers are notorious for buying expensive courses then not even reading them or watching the videos.
If you want success "you have to start working with highly successful people so you can learn their business model". All the information that people have access to provide a lot of choices on which path to take. Choice can be a good thing but it can also distract a person so they never focus on anything and never get anything done. If you want to avoid information overload you need to commit to working with someone.
You need to "align with them...partner with them, get on their mentoring programs..." said Brian. If you start working with someone and "provide a highly valued service to them you will build up your contacts."
Brian said that one of his biggest challenges was time management. He could never really find any time to put into building his business because he was working in a job. Recognizing that as his biggest problem, Brian decided to concentrate on getting organized. After taking many courses and really applying them he came to the conclusion that "people have too much going on in their life. They don't have time to take on a new project." He then started to eliminate things from his life to free up his time. "You have to focus on one project at a time and make it successful before you move on to the next", said Brian.
Once you have organized yourself you can "then focus on providing value to your mentors". This is Brian's big secret: Get organized personally, then do anything you can to be able to work with or for the really successful people in your business.
Now that he has achieved success he is happy with "living on the beach in Rio de Janeiro, living the Internet lifestyle." His decision to follow a "rigorous schedule" really paid off. - 15478
