Which health services will be part of children's trusts?
There are different levels of integration within a children's trust. Partners may choose to commission many children's health services, eg community paediatrics and teenage pregnancy coordinators, health visitors and schools nurses and therapists, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), maternity services, and palliative care.Application Specialists will help families complete the application form. The family will provide proof of income and county residency.

Will we be forced to have a children's trust?
Most areas should have a children's trust by 2006. The Government expects all areas to have a children's trust by 2008. By 2008, local authorities are required to have in place arrangements that produce integrated working at all levels, from planning through to delivery, with a focus on improving outcomes. Local authorities may choose not to call this a 'children's trust', but the important point is that the way of working is in place and committed to.This is a very difficult question, and must therefore have a much more personal answer.

How do you teach/help your children to care for their glasses?
Most parents suggested that I clean Morganne's glasses for her. They also suggested that Morganne concentrate on not breaking or losing her glasses. People also suggested a spare pair for when she (inevitably) breaks or loses them. Morganne's glasses go in a special place and, so far, she has been very good about putting them back where they belong when she takes them off. One person suggested scratch-resistant and unbreakable glasses.Yes.

What led to the development of children's trusts?
Children's trusts are a response to Lord Laming's report of the inquiry into the death of Victoria Climbi, which highlighted the extent to which better working together and better communication are crucial. The evidence from the inquiry confirmed many of the messages from previous inquiries into similar child protection failings: the imperative to see and listen to children and respond to their needs, and to improve the quality of communication and joint working.Children's trusts are a response to Lord Laming's report of the inquiry into the death of Victoria Climbi, which highlighted the extent to which better working together and better communication are crucial. Who are the children at Edgewood Children's Center?
The children we serve are severely emotionally disturbed and have behavior disorders. The children have experienced many failed placements. They often have been through several failed foster or adoptive placements, hospitalizations and often other residential placements. Day treatment students have had numerous failed educational placements; all the resources and special programs their local school districts have to offer have been tried. Most parents suggested that I clean Morganne's glasses for her. Where do the children go to school?
Edgewood operates a fully accredited, licensed special school for not only the 40 children who call Edgewood home, but also for 130 other children who come from all over the metropolitan area for services. This includes our south campus location which serves 32 children and our Childhaven program for children with communication disorders. No, but there are a couple of really nice episodes of Little House on the Prairie that highlight Mary's glasses. I recall one episode in which Mary gets glasses for the first time, children make fun of her, she tries to "lose" her glasses. I remember this episode from years ago. I may be imagining it. . - 15478
