What the Oil Companies don't want you to know about Free Gas!

By Jim Rogers

Oil Brands around the world understand the power of giving away free gas so they have created a loyalty program that benefits the consumer as well as businesses that giveaway the free gas. Let's analyze the program so you can understand how the Oil Companies can still make a profit.

This loyalty program is structured in a way that the consumer doesn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to receive their free gas. Spend $100 at one Oil Brand each month and you will receive $25 Gas Card for 6 months.

If you are spending $100 plus a month an the oil brand stations around the country you are personally generating $600 in Revenue for that company. So minus the $150 in Free Gas you are still generating $450 for that particular company. Now you take that $25 gas card and revisit the store and spend it on fuel or items within the store and that goes back in the pocket of the Oil Brand.

The marketing company who sends out the $25 Gas Cards each month understand the consumer is waiting on the envelope so it will have 100% open rate. By selling advertisements to be included in that envelope the expense of the mailings and gas cards is eliminated and actually turned into a profit.

Now do you really think every single person will throw the envelope in the trash? Of Course Not! Let's say one of the offer is for a credit card offered by Visa. Did you know credit card companies in some cases pay $200 for each approved application? If only 10% of consumers receive a credit card that is a huge revenue source for the Oil and Marketing Companies

Start adding up all the different areas where the Oil Brands can make money on their free gas giveaway and you can start to see why it makes Financial Sense for a loyalty program. This program is great for consumers because they are going to spend money on fuel anyway why not receive $25 back each month?

These certificates cannot be sold to consumer as it is against the Terms of Use of the program. However, you will see businesses that are giving away the certificates as an incentive for people to visit their store, buy a product, or signup online to their newsletter. If you are a business owner then you really need to research this loyalty program and see how it can benefit you today! - 15478
